Lauren Santee Page, 45, of 1808 Rose St., died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born into a military family at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Miss., Lauren called Goldsboro her home. She was a graduate of Goldsboro High School, Mount Olive College and Wayne Community College. She recently retired from the accounting department of Eastpointe. She previously worked in the accounting department of 3HC and was also a hospice volunteer.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Erin Page of the home; her parents, Lester and Ruby Sheppard Santee of Goldsboro; her sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Jack Almendarez of Beaufort, S.C.; her nephews, Eric and Tony, and her great-niece, Ariah Lauren Almendarez, all of Beaufort, S.C., her aunt, Margaret Medlin of Red Springs; many special cousins and friends; and her faithful beagle, Champ.

The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Fred Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Lester and Ruby Santee at 1805 Rose Street.
