DONOVAL E. WHEELER
Donoval E. Wheeler, 68, of 243 Hardingwood Drive, died Wednesday at his home.
A memorial service was held today at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church.
Mr. Wheeler was born in Wilson County to the late Donival E. and Viola Ham Wheeler. He was a graduate of Catawaba College and retired from Amico Oil Company after 30 years. He was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church, where he had served as a Sunday school teacher. He also was a member and former president of the Golden K Kiwanis Club, was an active volunteer with Northeast Elementary School and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Stroud Wheeler; one son, Gene Wheeler and wife, Jennifer, of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Carol Lynn Wheeler of Columbia, Tenn.; one brother, Edward B. Wheeler of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Rebekah, Catherine Arden, Elizabeth, and Phillip Fansler.
The family received friends at the church following the memorial service.
