ABNER R. SESSOMS

ROSEBORO — Abner Raeford Sessoms, 80, of 315 Josh Sessoms Road, died Tuesday at Carolina Healthcare in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Bartlett and the Rev. Jimmy Swinson will officiate. Burial will be in Sessoms-Peterson Cemetery.

Mr. Sessoms was a native of Sampson County and was the son of the late George Almond and Rowena Faircloth Sessoms. He worked with the North Carolina Department of Transportation before he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Sessoms of the home; two daughters, Bonnie Sessoms of Autryville and Vonita Sessoms of Goldsboro; one son, Thomas Sessoms of the home; one sister, Mae Sessoms of Raleigh; and one granddaughter.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
