MARY HALLOW RICE

Mary Hallow Rice, 80, of 823 N. Spence Avenue. died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Eidd and Magdalene K Hallow and was married to the late Charles Sutton Rice. She was a retired accountant with the Civil Service at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Norris O.S.F.S., presiding. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

She is survived by two sisters, Agnes H. Kannan of Goldsboro and Josephine H. Barnes of Greenville; and two brothers, George J. Hallow of Goldsboro and Joseph Hallow Jr. of Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis J. Hallow.

A wake service will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends afterward until 9 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Agnes Kannan, 1500 E. Elm Street, Goldsboro.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Jefferson Avenue, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
