MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for John Wesley "Jack" Manley, 89, of 4120 Chestnut St., will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Northeast Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Jesse Warren will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Manley died Tuesday at SunBridge Nursing Center.
He is survived by two daughters, Lucille McCullen and Mary Faison of Mount Olive; his sister-in-law, Essie Goodman of Mount Olive; seven grandchildren; 14 fourteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two special friends, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Jones of Mount Olive, and other friends.
The viewing will be from 3 until 8 p.m. on Friday at Garris Funeral Home, and the family will be there to greet friends from 7 until 8 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
The funeral procession will line up at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the home Essie Goodman, at 410 Chestnut St., Mount Olive.
