RUTH A. DARST

Ruth Aycock Darst, of 3102 Cashwell Drive, died Sunday at her home.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Lafayette Aycock and Sena Massey Aycock and was married to the late Paul Revere Darst.

Mrs. Darst was an avid golfer and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one sister, Edna Hooks of Fremont; three stepchildren, Gloria Stevens of Durham, Barbara McPeake of Evans, Ga., and Glenn Darst of Durham; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Harvin officiating. Burial was to be at 3:30 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530; or to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.

The family received friends this morning from 10 until 11 at Seymour Funeral Home.
