MARVIN HOLLIDAY

Marvin Holliday, 75, of 108 Windsor Drive, died Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howell Fu-neral Home & Crematory. The Rev-erend Jack Sauls will officiate. Interment will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Holliday was born in Martin County on Oct. 23, 1929, to the late Pearlie P. and Hattie Taylor Holliday. He served in the United States Army and retired as a driver's license examiner with the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he had served as a greeter and an usher, and Wayne Masonic Lodge # 634.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Holliday; two daughters, Debbie Cherry, and her husband, Linwood, of Mount Olive and Pat Rabon and her husband, Steve, of Pikeville; one stepson, J.T. Smith, and his wife, Wanda, of Goldsboro; one stepdaughter, LaNelle Smith of Goldsboro; one brother, Frederick E. Holliday, and his wife, Mary Ann, of Williamston; and three grandchildren, Jay, Justin and Hayley.

The family will receive friends at Howell Funeral Home following the service tonight, and other times at the residence.
