ETHEL FLOWERS

Ethel Ferrell Flowers, 83, of The Pines, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center following a brief illness.

A native of Lucama, she was the daughter of the late Anderson and Lela Capps Ferrell and was the widow of Jack Flowers. She was a retired bookkeeper with Coble Dairy and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one son, William A. Flowers, and his wife, Harriet, of Fayetteville; one daughter, Jackie Flowers, and her husband, David Ryhanych, of Winterville; three sisters, Gerthia McDonald of Princeton, Ruby Holland of Nahunta and Peggy Outland of Sesser, Ill.; three brothers, Anderson Ferrell Jr. of Wilson, Clifton Ferrell of Black Creek and George Ferrell of Wilson; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Hufham officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

The family will greet friends in McChesney Hall at First Presbyterian Church during the hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday morning.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
