Louise Sasser Godfrey Kremer, 80, of 539 New Hope Road, died Thursday morning at home.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Kremer was born in Wayne County on October 1, 1924, to the late Walter G. and Lettie Ingram Sasser. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Paul Godfrey of Littleton; two daughters, Kay Bedford and husband, Lloyd, of West Jefferson and Evelyn White and husband, Jerry, of Dudley; one sister, Ruby Best of Dunn; 15 grandchildren, Miranda Lovelace and husband, Jimmy, Angela Guimond and husband, Jerry, Chris Bedford and wife, Melissa, Anthony Bedford, Renee Jones and husband, Mitch, Donnie Holland and wife, Rita, Amy Ham and husband, Tim, Marcie Godfrey, Angel Pollock, Dale Godfrey, Kenny Ray Godfrey, Robert and Jake Newsome, Keshia Heathcock and husband, Robert, Kasey Gagliano and husband, Fred, and Kellie Kornegay and husband, Todd; twelve great-grandchildren, Jeremy Lovelace, Jamie Lovelace, Jessica Lovelace, Dustin Price, Dillion Price, McKenzie Ham, Ashley Weddle, Charleigh Gagliano, Shaye Heathcock, Abigail Kornegay, Michael Guimond, and Drake Bedford.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Ray L. Godfrey and Frederick Kremer, one brother, Luby Guy Sasser; and two sisters, Donnie Bedford and Aileen Whaley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Saturday.
