PHILLIP KURTZ III
Tech. Sgt. Phillip Kurtz III died Saturday from complications due to a heart attack.
Sergeant Kurtz, an 18-year Air Force veteran, was assigned to the 4th Component Maintenance Squadron fuels management flight at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
"He was admired by those with whom he worked, and will be missed," said 1st Lt. Rick Mueller, fuels management flight commander.
The Glenburnie, Md., native is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four children, Candace, Jason, Britney, and Heather; and four grandchildren. His son, Jason, is a Marine stationed at Kadena Air Base, Japan. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy; his father, Phillip II; and his siblings, brother, Art, and sister, Pam Reece.
The viewing was on Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and funeral services were to be held today at 1 p.m. at the base chapel.
