ALDA McKENZIE
SELMA -- Alda Bite "Miss Alda" McKenzie, 74, died Monday at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Todd Bailey and the Rev. Chad Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McKenzie was a native of Johnston County and was the daughter of the late Garland Lee Wilkins and Ida Starling Wilkins. She was a member of the Selma Baptist Church.
Her survivors include one son, Bryan P. Bite of Raleigh; four daughters, Connie Bite of Raleigh, Lucy Denise Bite of Smithfield, Pam Bite Smith of Goldsboro and Julia Ann West of Selma; one brother, Thomas Wilkins of Maryland; two sisters, Lola Holmes of Florida and Sonia Wilkins-Setzer of Pine Level; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
