SNOW HILL -- Jean Ann Taylor died Saturday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service. The Rev. Doug Nalley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Harper-Dawson Family Cemetery.

Officers of the Greene County Sheriffs Department will serve as Pallbearers and Honor Guard.

Mrs. Taylor was a native of Greene County and was the daughter Jack and Annie Cole Taylor. A life-long resident of Greene County, she was a graduate of the Greene County Schools and had worked with the Greene County Sheriffs Department for 17 years as a jailer.

She is survived by her companion, Lemuel Harper of Stantonsburg; one daughter, Charlene Beymer, and husband, Ron, of St. Augustine, Fla.; one son, Michael Ward and wife, Renee, of Anderson, S.C.; one granddaughter, Nicole Beymer of St. Augustine, Fla.; one sister, Alice Ormond of Dover; one brother, Johnny Ray Taylor and wife, Joyce, of Snow Hill; a nephew and niece, Johnny Ray Taylor Jr. of Ormondsville and Donna Marie Boyette of Kinston; and a special friend, Mary Rose Vaughan of Snow Hill.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Lemuel Harper, 4786 Hwy. 58 North, Stantonsburg, N.C.
