INEZ THORNTON

FOUR OAKS -- Inez H. Thornton, 85, of 10119 Devil's Racetrack Road, died Sunday.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mill Creek Christian Church. The Rev. Jack Anglin and Robin Lee Hawley will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Bentonville.

Mrs. Thornton is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Janice and Larry Harding of Clayton, Linda Rose and Steve Jordan of Marshville and Sue and Phil Harris of Newton Grove; four sons and their wives, Phil and Frances Thornton of Mount Olive, Glenn Thornton of Clinton, Don and Kay Thornton of Newton Grove and Clark and Bonnie Thornton of Princeton; one sister, Mazelle Manning of Newton Grove; and 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton "Tot" Thornton, and a grandson, Phillip Carlton "Carl" Thornton.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove.
