JANE JOHNSON

Annie "Jane" Forehand Johnson, 76, of 1812 Palm Street, died Sunday at her home.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late David A. Forehand and Ila Creech Forehand and was the widow of Gordon Lee Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson was a retired bookkeeper and had worked for Bell-Stewart, Jernigan Furniture and Maxwell Furniture.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Roy Savage officiating.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, David Lee Johnson, and wife, Grace, of Clayton and Larry Johnson and wife, Tina, of Lumberton; four sisters, Mandy Creech of Goldsboro, Ruby F. Braswell and husband, Ralph, of Goldsboro, Ruth F. Fisher of New Bern and Hazel F. Albert of Goldsboro; one brother, James "Buddy" Forehand, and wife, Sally, of Goldsboro; a brother-in-law, Gilbert Baker of Goldsboro; and eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris F. Baker, and an infant son, Donald Johnson.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
