JOSEPH JERNIGAN

SELMA -- Joseph Harold Jernigan, 54, of Oak St., died Tuesday.

The funeral will be held today at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Kenneth Thompson and the Rev. Earl West will officiate. Burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery near Princeton.

Mr. Jernigan was an electrician with Wells Electric in Raleigh for over 20 years and was a member of Smithfield Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fail Jernigan of the home; one son, Joseph Harold Jernigan Jr. of Boone; one stepson, Jeffrey Murvin of Goldsboro; one daughter, Angela J. Austin of Garner; one brother, Charles Eason of Selma; one sister, Dillie Johnson of Four Oaks; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service this evening.
