ROBERT DAVIES
Lt. Col. Robert Elmer Davies, Retired United States Army Reserve, died Wednesday at SunBridge For Mount Olive.
A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Lt. Col. Davies was the son of the late John Guy Davies and Flora Hedglon Davies; and was married to the late Harriette Gene Ferguson Davies.
Mr. Davies retired from the United States Army Reserve and served his country during World War II.
A memorial service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Phillip Hunter officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Ruth Davies of Brattleboro, Vt., Lynne Davies of Fremont, Calif., and Diane Cascio of Santa Clara, Calif.; one brother, George Davies of North Syracuse, N.Y.; and two grandsons, Adam John Trzcinski of Boulder, Colo., and David James Trzcinski of Boston, Mass.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
