Helen Kent Foy, 92, died Sunday at the Brian Center.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Unity Christian Church in New Bern. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Foy, a native of Mundy Point, Va., had been a resident of the Vanceboro community of Craven County since 1925. She also lived in the Truitt and Bridgeton communities for many years. She was a member of Unity Christian Church.
Her husband, Josh A. Foy, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Alden Kent Foy and his wife, Lois, of Goldsboro; three daughters, Bertha Williams of Wilmar, Irene Turnage of Greenville and Lois Carter and her husband, Ben, of Newport; two sisters, Margaret Canning of West-chester, Md., and Lillian Spence of Portsmouth, Va.; and 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro.
