HENRY BROGDEN

Henry "Hank" Leroy Brogden, 72, of 173 Martin Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Brogden was born in Wayne County to the late John Wesley and Myrtle Dail Brogden and was married to Jennifer McCullen Brogden. He was retired from the United States Army, having served in the 82nd Airborne and as stage manager for the Army Band.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Nancy Sullivan of Woodbridge, Va., Geneal Lewis of Andover, Kan., and LuRae "Redd" Woolsey of Goldsboro; two sisters, Kathleen Thornton of Wilson and Bessie Baker of Goldsboro; and three grandchildren, Michael Sullivan, Brian Woolsey and Alex Brogden.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, and the family will receive friends immediately afterward.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, N.Y., 10006.
