PENNIE MARTIN
MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Pennie Ward Martin will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Church of Christ of Mount Olive. Minister Velma McKinney will officiate. Burial will be in Sir Walter Martin Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin is survived by two daughters, Olive Bush of Springfield Garden, N.Y., and Ruby Simmons of Goldsboro; five sons, Granger Martin of Boones Mill, Va., Harold Martin of McLeansville, N.C., Luby Martin of Lithonia, Ga., Willie F. Martin of Mount Olive and Billy Martin of Clinton; four brothers, Jessie Ward, Ezekiel Ward, Fletcher Ward and Vancie Ward of Mount Olive; and 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed after 2 p.m. on Saturday at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home in Goldsboro, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Sunday.
