SNOW HILL -- Bettie Jean Best, 63, died Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James A.M..E Zion Church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Best, Janice Hill, Phyllis Dawson and Esther Best of Snow Hill and Annie Best of Hookerton; four sons, James Best of Ayden, Daniel Best and Jonah Best, both of Snow Hill, and David Best of Kinston; five sisters, Darlene Kirkman and Joyce King, both of Snow Hill, Flora Speight of Washington, D.C., Matilda Ham of Goldsboro and Betty Winstead of Wilson; four brothers, Michael Ham of Kinston, David Ham of Snow Hill, Herman Ham of Vanceboro and William Ham of Billgate, Fla.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 8 p.m. at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home.
