CHARLES HERRING JR.

Charles Robert "Robbie" Herring Jr., 21, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004.

A Pitt County native, he lived most of his life in the Farmville community. He attended the Farmville Church of God and was a graduate of Farmville Central High School, where he played football and was in the string orchestra. For the past two years, he had lived in Greenville and was employed at Bear Rock Cafe.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Marie Amey Herring; his parents, Charles Robert and Annie Marie Baker Herring of Farmville; his grandparents, Charles Force and Mamie Ellen Herring of Greenville and Joseph E. and Evelyn Baker of Farmville; his great-grandmother, Onnie Mae Herring of Goldsboro; aunts and uncles, Johnnie Herring and wife Lori, Sherry Marie Herring, Joseph Baker Jr. and wife Lucy, Dennis Baker and wife April, Leland "Pete" Baker and wife Lisa, and James Baker and wife Rhonda; and a number of cousins.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his parents, 4409 Moye-Turnage Road, Farmville.
