Ervin Daniel Lancaster, 85, of 1284 Big Daddy's Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Hollowell and the Rev. Gerald Massey officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery.

Mr. Lancaster was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late Mack and Elmer Pate Lancaster. He was a retired farmer and an active member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Bogue Lancaster; one daughter, Donna Kornegay, and her husband, Linwood, of Dudley; one son, Dwight Lancaster, and his wife, Lynn, of Pikeville; four sisters, Pauline Davis of Fremont, Evelyn Lancaster and Hilda Peele of Pikeville and Iva West of New Bern; one brother, Mack Lancaster Jr. of Pikeville; a daughter-in-law, Janie Lancaster of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Judy Barnes, Cindy Kornegay and Lance Kornegay; and seven great-grandchildren, Skylar Barnes, Tyler Barnes, Jaden Sullivan, Chance Sullivan, Kelsey Kornegay, Caleb Kornegay and McKala Kornegay.

He was preceded in death by two sons, William Ervin Lancaster and Frankie Lancaster; and two brothers, Clinton and Wylie Lancaster.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, c/o Sandra Benton, P. O. Box 10, Pikeville, N. C., 27863.
