HAZEL TAYLOR

KINSTON -- Hazel Smith Taylor, 92, of 2733 Hwy. 111 South, died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Adrian Grubbs will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Ernest and Janie Smith and was the widow of Paul M. Taylor. She was a lifelong member of Deep Run O.F.W.B. Church and its Ladies' Auxiliary. She attended Cragmont Assembly for many years and was a faithful supporter.

She is survived by three daughters, Ernestine Butler of Dunwoody, Ga., Christine "Crissy" Rayner of Deep Run and Pat Pateat of Charlotte; two brothers, Emmett Paul Taylor of Rock Hill, S.C., and Gene Taylor of Winterville; and 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral on Friday night.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deep Run O.F.W.B. Church, 2390 John Green Smith Road, Deep Run, N.C., 28525.

Pink Hill Funeral Home is serving the family.
