LINDELL WALLACE

The funeral for Minister Lindell Wallace, 71, of 623 Slaughter St., will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gospel Light United Holy Church. Elder Dwight Morrisey will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park. He died Wednesday.

The son of the late Dr. William R. and Charity Wallace, he served in the United States Army and was a retired Merchant Seaman.

He is survived by six sisters, Lillie M. King and Christine Kornegay of Goldsboro, Lorraine Wallace and Jackie Spruill of Mount Olive, Janice Warren of Walkerville, Md., and Linda F. Wallace of Philadelphia; one brother, William Sprunt Wallace of Charleston, S.C.; a foster brother, Jesse Jones of Washington, D.C.; a special cousin, Johnnie L. Durham of Beulaville; and several nieces and nephews including a devoted nephew, Donald (Bernice) King of Goldsboro.

The viewing hours will be from 4 until 7 today at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

The family will receive friends at the home of Lillie Mae King, 117 Gulley St., Goldsboro.
