JOHN GREGORY
NEWTON GROVE -- John Oliver Gregory, 82, of 326 Goldsboro St., died Monday.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadeloupe Catholic Church with Father Jim Garneau officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Frances Eldridge Gregory of Newton Grove; sons and daughters-in-law, William Oliver "Billy" and Linda Gregory of Newton Grove, Lawrence Usher "Larry" and Cindy Gregory of Carthage; daughter and son-in-law, Mae Ellen Gregory "Meg" and Jerry Murphy of Newton Grove; brothers, Lawrence Gregory and Hubert Gregory of Newton Grove; sisters, Mary Adams, Kaye Williams, Helen Williams and Maude Evelyn Denning of Newton Grove, Anna Florence Powell of Dudley and Joan Thornton of Four Oaks; three grandchildren, Cory Gregory, Jonathan Gregory and Darren Gregory; and great-grandchildren, Brice Gregory and Kendall Gregory.
Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Bernard and Maude Evelyn Usher Gregory; four brothers, Father Harold Gregory, Richard Gregory, Jack Gregory and Patrick Gregory; and one sister, Genevive Montgomery.
The rosary service will be said today at 6:30 at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove and the family will be present to receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m.
