Funeral services for David Lee Suggs Sr. is scheduled for Saturday 11 a.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Jackson will officiate. The burial will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Suggs was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Suggs andSadie Shackleford Suggs.
He is survivied by his wife of 30 years, Mrs. Shirley Suggs of the home; two sons, David Suggs of the home and Roderick Thompson of Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Renee Hunter of Bowie Md; one granddaughter; three sisters, Mildred Blount of Portsmouth Va., Thelma Lewis of Chesapeake Va., and Doris Shepard of Goldsboro; many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 2 until 5:30 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. Also that evening, the family will be receiving friends at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, from 6:30 until 7:30 pm followed by an inspirational wake from 7:30 until 8:30 p.m. Any condolences may be faxed to 919-731-4338 or emailed to mcintyrefhm@aol.com.
