EDNA WILSON
JEWETT CITY, Conn. -- Edna G. Wilson, 78, died Saturday at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven.
She was born in Goldsboro and was the daughter of the late George and Mary Wade Garris. She married Leonard J. Wilson of Jewett City, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force, and their four children were born in North Carolina before the family settled in Jewett City, where Mrs. Wilson had lived for 50 years.
She was a communicant of St. Mary Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, John Wilson of Virginia; a daughter, Miki DeCapio of North Brandford; two sisters, Shirley Sullivan and Allene Mumford; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary Church and interment was in St. Mary Cemetery, Lisbon, under the direction of the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home.
