ELLA WHITFIELD
LAGRANGE -- The funeral for Ella Mae Whitfield, 79, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Rest Holiness Church in LaGrange. Pastor Franklin Flowers and Elderess Kelly Bynum will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her husband, Johnnie Whitfield of the home; two daughters, Ina Parks of LaGrange and Deloris Tinsley of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Thomas Whitfield of Washington, D.C., and Johnnie Whitfield of Tacoma, Washington; two brothers, James Core of Goldsboro and Jimmy Core of LaGrange; sixsisters, Ava Whitfield, Sylvia Smith and Darcy Blount of LaGrange, Corenna Shackleford of Kinston and Everia Hines and Viola Canady of Washington, D.C.; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be at the church during the hour prior to the funeral.
LaGrange Mortuary is serving the family.
