CARL BOTTOMS

Carl Franklin Bottoms, 75, of 600 W. Main St., Pikeville, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wilson County, he was the son of the late Norman Bottoms and Lillian Hawkins Bottoms and was co-owner of KLB, Inc. Mr. Bottoms was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church and served his country in the United States Navy.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Huffman and the Rev. Bob Bame officiating. Russell Williams, a close family friend, will provide music for the service. A private family interment will be held Thursday at Pikeville Cemetery.

Mr. Bottoms is survived by his wife, Edna Fleming Bottoms; his daughters, Sue B. Wade and husband, Leslie of Fredericksburg, Va., Cynthia B. Furcron of Goldsboro and Jane Bottoms of Kernersville; his grandchildren, Jason Thomas Furcron, Jennifer Leigh Furcron, Michael Bryan Higgins, Della Marie Higgins and Emily Clark; and his sister-in-law, Dalen Bottoms of Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jake Bottoms, Reese Bottoms and Donahue Bottoms; and his sister, Rubenia Daniels.

The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
