LELAND R. PATE
FREMONT -- Leland Ray Pate, 77, died Friday at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson.
He was born in Patetown on Nov. 17, 1926, to the late Lewis and Gertrude Pate.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held today at 2 p.m. at the graveside at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mr. Pate is survived by his wife, Ladell B. Pate of Fremont; son and daughter-in-law, Kimble and Gayle Pate of Fremont; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy P. and Mike Newman of Fremont; five grandchildren, Kris, Shanna, Lisa, Allison and Lindsey.
