DONIE W. PELT

Donie Walton Pelt, 80, of Goldsboro, died Friday at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Goldsboro Friends Meeting with David Brindle and Willie Frye officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

A native of Harnett County, Mrs. Pelt was the daughter of the late Walter and Norma Bethea Walton and was the widow of Billy W. Pelt. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of Goldsboro Friends Meeting.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Pelt Baker and husband, Emanuel, of Alexandria, Va., and Alice Pelt Blomme and husband, Francis, of Fayetteville; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Howell Pelt of Burlington; her grandchildren, Walter Richard Pelt II, Penny Pelt Snead, Sybil Baker Ricketts, Teresa Baker Payne, Mark Blomme, Anita Blomme, and Paula Blomme; and her great-grandchildren, Austin Ricketts, Taylor Ricketts, Christopher Ricketts, Megan Ricketts, Elizabeth Pelt, Nathan Pelt, William Snead and Lauren Snead.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Pelt; a son, Walter Richard Pelt; and her brothers, Bud Walton and Waymond Walton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Goldsboro Friends Meeting, 700 Guilford St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530; or to Eastern Alzheimer's, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 208, Raleigh, N.C., 27605.

The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home.
