HAMPTON, Va. -- Pauline Warrick Langston Holloway died Tuesday, July 27, 2004.

She was born in Wayne County on May 18, 1915, and had been a Peninsula resident since 1941. She was a member of Ivy Farms Baptist Church and had retired from the A&P Grocery after 34 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Maybelle B. Warrick; her husbands, Jack Langston and Benjamin F. Holloway; two sisters, Elizabeth Obie and Hazel Gooding; and a brother, Claudie Warrick.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice Langston Parker, and her husband, Carl, of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Raymond E. Langston and his wife, Ann, of Clyde, and Malcolm R. Langston and his wife, Carolyn, of Smithfield, Va.; five sisters, Mae Shumate, Christine Smith, Ranette Howell and Edna Breshears of Goldsboro and Shirley Knowles of Autryville; two brothers, Haywood Warrick of Charlotte and Leslie Warrick of Autryville; and 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News, Va. The Rev. John R. Yevak will officiate. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 8, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro.

Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
