Doris Parks Cherry, 91, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Goldsboro, died Tuesday in Lexington Country Place.

She was born in Goldsboro to the late Frank Forrest Parks and Leah Elizabeth Henry Parks.

She moved to Lexington in 1982 after her retirement as director of social services at Camp Butner.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Dr. H.E. McNair will be officiating.

She is survived by three nieces, Carol W. Spotts of Lexington, Ky., Marsha Logan (Robert) of Tampa, Fla., and Beverly Reeves (Richard) of Indianapolis; two nephews, Joseph Wiley of Tallahassee, Fla., and Forrest P. Wiley of Lexington, Ky.; 13 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 10 grandnieces and grandnephews.

A viewing will be held on Monday from 11 until 12:45 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the Cherry family via e-mail hamiltonfc@aol.com or faxed to 735-4725.
