BUREN BATSON JR.
A memorial service for Buren Wesley Batson Jr., 53, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Calypso Cemetery.
Mr. Batson died Friday in Atlanta.
He was the son of the late Buren "Buddy" Batson and Tabitha P. Batson of Calypso. He graduated from North Duplin High School in 1969 and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973. He was a previous employee of Pate Dawson Company of Goldsboro and the Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, where he was a senior executive administrative assistant.
He is survived by an aunt, an uncle and several cousins.
