THOMAS BATTLE

The funeral for Thomas O. Battle, 36, of 309 Fussell St., will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ. Bishop Alton A. Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Battle died last Friday, July 12, at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

He was the son of Eloise Isler Battle and the late Henry Lee Battle Sr. He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1985 and attended Chowan College and Wayne Community College majoring in graphic arts and business administration. He was employed with the Goldsboro News-Argus until his health began to decline.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by five sisters, Patricia Battle of Newark, N.J., Dianne B. McKiver, Debra Battle, Heloise B. Wilkerson and Sharon Battle of Goldsboro; three brothers, Henry L. Battle Jr. and Michael Battle of Goldsboro and Lynwood Robinson of Chapel Hill.

The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 today at Hamilton Funeral Home and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8.
