TURKEY -- The funeral for Michael D. Cooper, 45, of Charlotte, formerly of Turkey, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kemba Headquarters in Warsaw. The Rev. Eugene Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Cooper died Saturday at the House of Mercy in Belmont.
He is survived by his parents, Amos and Anna Cooper of Turkey; two brothers, Amos A. Cooper of Durham and Ronnie Cooper of Parkton; two sisters, Delois Cooper of Huntsville and Patricia D. Cooper of Turkey.
The viewing hours will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Turkey and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. At other times the family will be at 950 Turkey Highway, Turkey.
