Charles Ray Jones, 52, of 152 Sandy Lane Road, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at his home.

The funeral will be held Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro. Burial will be in Forte Cemetery in Eureka.

Mr. Jones was born on Dec. 2, 1951, in Eureka. He graduated from Norwayne School in 1970 and worked for Best Distributing Company for 13 years.

He is survived by two children, Takisha Parker of Goldsboro and Timothy Spencer of Virginia; two grandchildren, Devante Laron Reece and Najel Imani Rhodes of Goldsboro; his mother, Anne Virginia Jones of Goldsboro; his father, James Leslie Jones of Durham; two sisters, Judy Hodges of Goldsboro and Jo Ann Pitt Nichols (Joseph) of Pikeville; one brother, James Isaac Jones (Pauline) of Pikeville; three aunts, Henrietta Harper and Gladys Harper of Goldsboro and Ethel Jones Cole of Durham; seven uncles, Joseph Jones Jr., Herbert Jones and Ray Jones of Durham, Alford Jones and Linwood Jones of Florida, Billy Jones of Louisiana and Ezekiel Harper of Goldsboro; two great-aunts, Clyde Lane of California and Lucinda Wilds of Wilmington; one great-uncle, Ezekiel Jones of Fremont; three nieces, Crystal Hodges of Greenville, N.C., Joey Rochelle Nichols of Pikeville, N.C., and Anita Yelverton of Clayton, N.C.; three nephews, Shaun Jones, James Jones Jr. and Cecil Frederick Nichols of Pikeville; one great-nephew, Quentin Yelverton of Clayton; a special friend, Minnie Clark of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Juanita) Hodges and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Fannie) Jones.

The viewing will be held on Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.

At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Judy Hodges, 152 Sandy Lane Road, Goldsboro.
