MYRTLE B. HONRINE

Myrtle Best Honrine, 78, of 161 Black Jack Church Rd., died Saturday at her home.

Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. The Rev. Willard Hardison, the Rev. Danny Tyndall, and Bishop Curtis Melton will officiate. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Honrine was born in Wayne County on June 7, 1926, to the late Samuel Preston and Effie Worley Best. She was a charter member of the Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis Junior Honrine; one son, Edward Lee Honrine and wife Linda of Faro; one daughter, Beulah Mae Honrine Wiggs and husband the Rev. Carroll Wiggs of Spring Hope; one sister, Thelma Gray Best of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Lee Best.

The family will receive friends following the service Monday evening at Howell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
