VIRGINIA WOODARD
FOUR OAKS -- Virginia R. Woodard, 68, of 3022 Harper House Road, died Thursday.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 11 at Jordan's Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Turbyfill and the Rev. Frank Sandy will officiate.
Mrs. Woodard is survived by five daughters, Virginia Kearney of Pikeville, Rose Massey of Grantham, Jane Maynard of Four Oaks, Joyce Smith of Middlesex and Julia Merritt of Rolesville; a son, Allen Woodard of Four Oaks; three brothers, Bill Thornton of Newton Grove, Delma Ray Thornton of Garner and Robert Thornton of LaFayette, Ga.; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Franklin "Frrank" Woodard, and her parents, Allen and Rettie D. Thornton.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove, and other times at the residence.
