GWENDOLYN WINSTON
The funeral for Gwendolyn Sherrod Winston, 61, of 369 Watery Branch Road, Stantonsburg, will be held Friday morning at 10:30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Goldsboro. Interment will be in Sherrod's Cemetery near the home.
Mrs. Winston died Tuesday. She was the assistant principal at Norwayne Middle School.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Artis Sherrod, and is survived by her husband, William R. Winston Jr. of the home; a daughter, Patricia Winston of Elizabeth, N.J.; a son, Maurice Winston of Bronx, N.Y.; her father and stepmother, Pastor and Mrs. J.C. Sherrod of Fremont; two sisters, Judy S. Green and Nona S. Fuller of Fremont; and one grandson.
The family will receive frends at the home of Blanche Horne, 362 Watery Branch Road.
The memorial register may be signed today from 2 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home.
