JAMES WILLIAMS SR.

Retired U.S. Air Force Major James Louis Williams Sr., 86, formerly of 904 S. Taylor Street, died Wednesday at Croatan Village in New Bern.

He was a retired computer data services operator with the United States Air Force and served his country during World War II. He was the former owner of Jim Williams Business Forms and was an active member of First Baptist Church. Major Williams was one of the original founders of Waynesborough Historical Park and was a former member and past president of the Golden "K" Kiwanis Club.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Major Williams is survived by his daughter, Paula W. Boseman of Norfolk, Va.; his son, Louis Williams Jr. of New Bern; and two grandchildren, Brennen Boseman and Jenna Boseman. Major Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Ethel Hodge Williams.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
