MOUNT OLIVE -- William Craig Jernigan, 57, of 1507 Grantham School Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held today at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The Rev. Patrick Mustin will officiate. Interment will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Grantham Family Cemetery.
Mr. Jernigan was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late Floyd and Mary Pearsall Jernigan. He was a civil service employee with Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Grantham Jernigan; a son, William Craig Jernigan Jr., and wife, Nickie Bounds Jernigan, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Angela Jernigan Dunekack and husband, Daniel, of Clayton; two sisters, Alma Christiansen and husband, Paul, of Hartsville, S.C., and Evelyn Griffin and husband, James, of Mount Olive; a brother, Ronald Jernigan of Hope Mills; three grandchildren, Wade Andrew Jernigan, Alexis Marie Dunekack and Tyler Andrew Dunekack.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight, and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Selah Christian Church, Selah Church Road, Four Oaks, N.C., 27524.
