MARGIE HASSELL

DUDLEY -- Margie Robbins Hassell, 74, of 106 Gwen Drive, died Monday due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born in Wake County, her birth parents were the late Robert William and Olivia Myrtle Wall Creech and her parents were the late George Monroe and Laura Ellen Johnson Robbins. She was married to the late Sylvester Hassell and was the sister of the late William Ray "Billy" Creech. A member of Bear Marsh Church, she was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. After retiring from Kemp Furniture Company, she continued to work as a care giver for the elderly in the Mount Olive area.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hassell is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia H. and Chris Lee of Dudley; a son and daughter-in-law, Sylvester E. "Buddy" and Kathy B. Hassell of Seven Springs; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Shelly A. and Clay Hinson of Mount Olive; a grandson, Dylan Lee of Mount Olive; a great-grandson, Blain Hinson of Mount Olive; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Raulerson of Greencove Springs, Fla., and Myrtle and Van Ross of Raleigh; five nieces and three nephews; and very special friends, Vicky B. Cotton and her mother, Edna Bell, both of Mount Olive.

Family members will greet friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service, and at other times they will be at the home.
