DOCK PEARCE

PRINCETON -- The funeral for Dock Marvin Pearce, 83, was held today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.

Mr. Pearce, a former resident of Princeton, died Friday at Sentara Nursing Home in Hampton, Va.

He was the son of the late Hardy Graham and Hettie Daughtry Pearce and was the widower of Ruth Corbett Pearce.

He is survived by a son, Jimmy Pearce of Poquoson, Va.; daughters, Judy Elizabeth Pearce Pasley of Newport News, Va., and Edna G. Brown of Sumter, S.C.; a brother, Bobby Pearce of Princeton; three sisters, Elizabeth Pearce Sorrell of Cary, Myrtle Pearce Watts of Hampton, Va., and Doris Lee Pearce Evans of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family received friends on Monday night from 7 until 8:30 at Casey Funeral Home.
