Charles "Rab" Moye Barnes, 76, of 209 Plantation Road, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

Mr. Barnes was a native of Wilson County and was the son of the late John Robert and Sadie Pate Barnes. He was a manufacturing sales representative for 35 years and retired in 1993 with 10 years of service with Heilig-Meyers Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Goldsboro Elks Lodge #139 B.P.O.E.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma McClary Barnes; three sons, Robin N. Barnes of Salter Path, Jeffrey Lynn Barnes and wife, Amy of Goldsboro and Andy Barnes of the home; one daughter, Bonnie James and husband, Jesse of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Charles Nathan James, Nolan Robert James, and Jennifer Lynn Barnes; and one brother, Donald Barnes of Atlanta, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Gibson, Kenneth Fulghum, Norwood Giddens, Newman Percise, Ed Reeves, and Buddy Shaw.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
