MARVIN E. SUTTON

FAISON -- Mr. Marvin E. Sutton, 81, died Friday.

He was the son of the late Johnny and Pearl McCullen Sutton. He was retired having worked for Southern Produce Company as a foreman of the packing department for over 50 years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be in Faison Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Swinson Sutton; one son, Gerald Sutton and wife Geri of Newport News, Va.; two daughters, JoAnne S. Jones of Calypso and Brenda S. Herring and husband Mike of Greenville; one brother, Boyd Sutton of Faison; one sister, Elma Miller of Clinton; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Franklin Sutton; and a sister, Vurlon Thornton.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home today from 3 until 5 p.m. and at other times they will be at the home at 426 S. Faison Ave., Faison.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Faison Baptist Church or Faison Fire Department.
