WILLIAM DENNING
DUNN -- William Felton Denning, 90, died Thursday morning at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. The Reverends Walter Gaskins and Henry Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
Mr. Denning was a native of Sampson County and was a son of the late George Rufus and Vada Wilkes Denning. He was predeceased by his wife, Geneva Fields Denning. Mr. Denning was a retired farmer and carpenter.
Surviving are daughters, Rochelle Snead of Four Oaks, Sandra Gail Whittington of Benson, Minnie Lou Wilks, Linda Stafford and Judy Jackson of Dunn; sons, Sherrill Mack Denning and Gerald Lee Denning of Garner; brothers, J.D. Denning of Welcome, Glenn Denning of Dunn, Charlie M. Denning of Newton Grove, and Ollen Denning of Goldsboro; sisters, Trudy Bass and Mary Williford of Newton Grove and Nelma Stephenson of Raleigh; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
