EUNICE C. HINTON

Mrs. Eunice Cullipher Hinton, 85, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Bertie County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cullipher and Sophie Mizelle Cullipher and was married to the late Lucian Hinton. Mrs. Hinton was a retired school teacher, having taught for 31 years. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and the Goldsboro Woman's Club.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jean Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Hinton Gurley of Tarboro; grandson, David E. (Trey) Gurley III and his wife, Georgia Tanner Gurley of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, David E. Gurley IV and Georgia Louise Gurley of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Madison Hinton; son-in-law, David E. Gurly Jr.; brothers, George Cullipher, Winston Cullipher and Arnold Cullipher; and her sister, Agnes C. Farless.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Forest Methodist Church, 867 N.C. 581 Hwy. S., Goldsboro or Edgecombe County Relay for Life, P.O. Box 7067 Tarboro, 27886 or to the charity of one's choice.

Friends may call at the home, 300 A North Hillcrest Drive.
