FLOY GOODSON
The funeral for Floy Creel Goodson, 80, of 3912 E. Ash St., will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The Rev. Elbert Reeves and the Rev. Doug Bartlett will officiate. Interment will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Goodson died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Lenoir County and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ida Becton Creel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas Goodson, and is survived by a daughter, Ruby Fail and husband, Bobby, of Goldsboro and their daughter, Kim Johnston and husband Curtis; a son, James Goodson and wife Elizabeth, of Birmingham, Ala.; four other grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Earl Pike of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight, and other times at the home of Bobby and Ruby Fail, 808 Lynch Drive, Goldsboro.
