IRENE HARRISON

LAGRANGE -- Irene Aldridge Harrison, 92, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston following several months of declining health.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service in Snow Hill. The Rev. Gary Tingen will officiate. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Snow Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Harrison was a native of Lenoir County and was the widow of Heber Harrison. She was a member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Leo Harrison Bailey and husband, Charles, of LaGrange, and Mollie Harrison Crisp and husband, W.D., of Goldsboro; two sons, Carson Harrison and wife, Doris, and Heber Elton Harrison and wife, Mary, all of LaGrange; two sisters, Pauline Hobbs of Stantonsburg and Ida Jackson of Kinston; one brother, James Aldridge of Chester, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Aldridge and Isaac Aldridge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight, and other times at the home of Leo H. Bailey, 5421 Hull Road, LaGrange.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to Free Gospel Church, 145 Free Gospel Road, Snow Hill, NC 28580.
